The place where I come, the
student’s strike are not popular. In my school there was no talk of this.
Through 13 years in my school not knowing about it.
When I started studying in
university I moved to Santiago and I chose to study in “Universidad Diego Portales”,
for one year I had a “normal” student’s year, that is to say, I finished this
year in December. But the normally student’s year in Chile it’s not like this.
In my second year in Santiago I decided to change my career and started
studying geography at the “Universidad de Chile”in my first year I lived my
first student’s strike, at that moment I was very angry, because, for me this
method is not good. The student should look for new method, more effective to
achieve their demands, because the loss of classes does not help.
Now, this year we have lost 2
months, maybe 3 and again my parents will have to pay more money for my stay in
Santiago (one month more). Because this year ending January.
The student’s strike in my opinion
injures human’s rights, because this movements is not democratic, every day the
“majority” goes out the minority, and this is so bad. But actually the majority
is not who make the decisions, because, the people are not interested in these
movements or if students think differently are attacked by it. All student have
a voice, but in FAU many cannot give your opinion. It’s crazy guys!
But the reason why fighting is
very important, because the quality and equality in education it’s a human
right and it’s important for the development of Chile. And to get that it’s
necessary the dialogue, brainstorming, different opinions, and of course,
respect and tolerance.
Bye, see you later guys.
Peace!
